The purpose of this site is
to collect, archive, and disseminate information about the brothers
Richard and Josias Hendon who were born in America near the end of the
17th century.
Most of the descendants of Josias settled in Maryland, the Carolinas, and Georgia, then west to Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Texas and Oklahoma by 1900.
Richard's
descendants settled in Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Iowa,
Missouri, Wisconsin and farther west.
